When I am gone most of the day, Madigan at school and ASK from 8a to 5p, Boomer working working working there aren’t lots of things to post about. When I come home at 8pm I want to spending time with Madigan and find I don’t have time to take pictures.
I also feel like I hijack the blog for my interests. This is a perfect example.
When we decided to stop shopping at WalMart, I didn’t know how long it would last. It’s been almost 3 years and we haven’t missed it at all. Low Price and one stop shopping is not enough to get us back in the store. (Ful disclosure–we ate at a Subway in a walmart one the drive to Virgina, Madigan has gone into one with family and Boomer took his cousin Jon one afternoon…but they haven’t gotten any money from us.)
The more we learn about the food industry, the more we want to get away from it. The more our health and nutrition becomes about a bottom line and profit for a giant company, the more I want to run and find a garden. We are buying into a farm with a Community Supported Agricuture program. Bags of food from the farm…FROM THE FARM. We are going to container garden, if we can find soil and seeds that are not connected to Monsanto.
