greens bed before and after

It’s been warm here and this bed of greens is not taking the heat well…the lettuces are all wilty

and the spinach has bolted.

here it was before I went out to get stuff for dinner and pull out the spinach.

This is after, still a lot left.

This is what we got to eat.

I bought three little cabbage plants and not 48 hours after putting them in the ground, leaves have already been munched on.

Yes I planted too many seeds, again here.  In my defense, some of the seeds were old and I wasn’t sure if all were gonna germinate.

squash and melons

Seeing nothing in the dirt one day and the next day a sprout never gets old for me.  This is the squash.

This is the muskmelon.  Looking forward to the possibility of fruit!

I clearly was heavy handed when I dropped these seeds.  They are jalapeno and I am happy they are sprouting.  I will thin them out this weekend.

This is bell pepper.  The more peppers the better.

tomato plants

We bought some tomato plants at the farmers market a few weeks ago, Madigan picked this one cause it had flowers on it, and we got little tomatoes starting.
